“It is amazing to see how many local business owners, employees, neighbors and local high school students, go above and beyond to give back to our community but are not ever recognized. I think the Community Service Awards are a necessity to ensure that these people who are selflessly giving of themselves, either monetary or through in-kind services, are acknowledged publicly for their philanthropic efforts” states Michael Pallozzi, Board Chair of the Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce
Winners of the 14th Annual Community Service Awards are chosen from an extensive list of nominees. These individuals and organizations have made exceptional differences in the communities where they live and work throughout South Jersey.
The Robert M. Bess Memorial Youth Scholarship recognizes Gloucester County high school senior students who have shown tremendous commitment to their academics and their community. These students will receive a $1000 scholarship as they choose to continue at any higher education institution that is a member of the Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce. This year, both scholarship recipients are planning to attend Rowan College at Gloucester County.
The chance to recognize those who make Gloucester County a better place to live, work, and play could not be executed without the help from our sponsors: Gold sponsors include: Inspira Health Network and Lisa Carney Retail Agency, Rowan University, and TD Bank. Silver sponsors include: Bellia Print & Design, Carefree Livin’, Kingsway Learning Center, PCH Technologies, Robins’ Nest, Rowan College at Gloucester County, and SpeedPro Imaging. Bronze sponsors include: The Arc Gloucester, Integrity Staffing and Volunteer Center of South Jersey. Video production provided by Graham Communications.
